About Ocho Rios
Ocho Rios sits on the lush north coast of St. Ann — Jamaica's Garden Parish — where jungle-green hills tumble straight down to a calm, protected bay. If Montego Bay is about the beach and Negril is about the sunset, Ocho Rios is about doing things: climbing waterfalls, ziplining through rainforest, rafting rivers, and swimming with dolphins.
Dunn's River Falls is the icon — a 180-foot cascade you climb hand-in-hand up its natural limestone steps. Beyond it, Mystic Mountain's bobsled and canopy tour, Dolphin Cove, the Blue Hole at White River, and Konoko Falls fill entire days. Cruise ships call here, so mornings can be busy — savvy travellers reverse the day and hit the falls after 2pm.
At night, Ocho Rios pulls back into a small-town rhythm: jerk pans on Main Street, live music at Ocean Village, and a short drive up the hill to Nine Mile — Bob Marley's birthplace and mausoleum. Family-friendly by day, quietly romantic by night.
